The work on the new bridges on the I-895 north of the port tunnel has progressed so far that BOTH traffic lanes are open both in the tubes of the tunnel and on the new bridges during peak travel times.

Off-peak road closures in the tunnels and on the new bridges will continue until summer 2021.

LONG TERM SEWAGE WORK – Falls Road is CLOSED between Chestnut Avenue (south of Clipper Mill Road, near the # 1 Mill and Maryland Avenue until SUMMER 2021).

Possible alternative routes are Maryland Avenue for SOUTHBOUND traffic, Charles Street for NORTHBOUND traffic, or I-83 / Jones Falls Expressway.

Anne Arundel County: Bay Bridge Lane closure scheduled for the week of March 26th to April 3rd (if conditions permit):

HEADLIGHT USE WHILE DRIVING OVER THE BAY BRIDGE IS MANDATORY AT ALL TIMES.

The EASTBOUND range can be closed:

– Sunday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday

The WESTBOUND range can be closed:

– Monday to Wednesday from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next morning.

– Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday

* Overnight closings can start earlier if traffic permits.

A trace of the WESTBOUND span can be closed:

– Monday to Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.

The bidirectional traffic is operated on the EASTBOUND span during the full WESTBOUND span.
