College of Maryland, Baltimore hires first Range, Fairness & Inclusion Officer

BALTIMORE (WJZ) – The University of Maryland, Baltimore, hired its first Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer.

Dr. Diane Berthoud will take over the position from July 1st.

She will oversee the necessary changes to the university to ensure that the campus is inclusive for all.

Dr. Berthoud comes from the University of California at San Diego, where she held a similar position.

She looks forward to working with colleagues and students to move the university forward.
