A 15-year-old boy was shot Thursday afternoon in west Baltimore, police said.
City police said officers responded around 3:16 p.m. to a ShotSpotter alert. Police said the officers found the teenager suffering from gunshot wounds in the 1900 block of McHenry Street.
The boy was taken to a hospital, where he immediately underwent surgery. His condition was not immediately released.
Police said detectives learned the victim left a food market in the 2000 block of West Pratt Street when two people approached him and shot him.
