Baltimore County Faculties can be section of reopening the Hybrid College on March 1st – WBAL TV Baltimore

Starting March 1, Baltimore County's public schools will reopen for students whose families have chosen hybrid learning and for all employees. The district said hybrid learning includes two face-to-face learning days and three virtual learning days per week. Families that have opted for hybrid learning will be assigned Cohort A or Cohort B for their child prior to their child's return flight date, which varies depending on the student group. Families also have the option to continue the full virtual class. "We heard loud and clear that some families are willing to learn in person," Superintendent Darryl Williams said in a statement. "While school operations will be different if we implement health and safety practices recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, I look forward to welcoming students and staff on their return. Students whose families continue fully virtual learning or who have not answered the questionnaire are assigned to cohort C. Students assigned to cohort A come to school on Monday and Tuesday. Students in cohort B come to school on Thursday and Friday. On the other three days, students from cohorts A and B will continue virtual learning. Wednesday will continue to be a day of independent (asynchronous) virtual teaching for all students with planned small groups. BCPS Employee Return Schedule Most employees return to schools and offices on February 16, with the following exceptions: To prepare for the first training session for Fall Athletics on February 13, sporting directors will return on February 1 February. The Baltimore County's Elementary Teachers Association (TABCO) 10-month staff will return on February 22nd. Baltimore County's Secondary Teachers Association (TABCO) 10-month staff will return on March 8th of Baltimore County (ESPBC) 10-month staff will return on February 22nd. Baltimore County Secondary Education Support Professionals (ESPBC) 10-month staff will return March 8th. Wednesdays will continue to be asynchronous with opportunities for small group lessons. Employees have the option of working remotely. Primary School Timetable Changes March 1: All primary schools will return to 2019-2020 start times for all students. March 1-12: Students in preschool through second grade will receive a 2-hour early release based on 2019-2020 release times. March 15: All elementary schools (preschool – grade 5) are returning to a full-day schedule after the 2019-2020 discharge times. Middle and High School Timetable Changes March 15: All middle and high schools are returning for 2019-2020 arrival and discharge times. The number of hours in a timetable remains the same as in the first semester. The lesson times are adjusted to a typical 6.5 hour student day, and the individual lesson times for virtual and personal lessons are shared with students and families. Resources for Families and Employees Schools and offices must follow five safety practices recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: consistent and correct use of face coverings; social distancing as much as possible; frequent hand washing and covering up coughs and sneezes; Cleaning and desinfection; and contact tracing managed by the Office of Health Services in collaboration with the local health department. The 10-month staff of the Baltimore County's Elementary Teachers Association (TABCO) will be returning February 22nd. The Baltimore County's Secondary Teachers Association (TABCO) 10-month staff will return on March 8th. Baltimore County Elementary School Support Professionals (ESPBC) 10-Month Staff Will Return On February 22nd County 10-Month Staff (ESPBC) will return on March 8th. On Wednesdays it will still be asynchronous and there is the option to teach in small groups. Employees have the option of working remotely.
