10okay masks to be distributed in Baltimore – wmar2news.com

BALTIMORE — Thousands of masks are set to be distributed in Baltimore City.

The Baltimore branch of the NAACP got 10,000 KN95 masks from FlyWheel Digital and have since given them to several local groups to be handed out.

The masks aren’t hospital-grade but are more protective than the average cloth mask.

The branch will also distribute reusable cloth masks from black mask makers in Baltimore soon.

“We’re committed to providing masks and information and doing the advocacy to make sure that our community has the resources that it needs,” said Reverend Kobi Little, the president of the Baltimore branch of the NAACP.

The branch has also rebranded its mobile health education unit. The unit explains why it’s so important to wear masks and encourages people to stop the spread of COVID-19 and police violence.
